A small, secluded forest that surrounds a pleasant little spring is the place where most homeless mother squirrels go to build dreys and birth their young. While there is a danger of the hawks that live in the mountains feasting on the young when summer comes along, all other times it is normally a safe place from not only predators, but also from male squirrels who are looking for trouble.
